The flying animatronic dragon was part of a promotional display for the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon, which is currently premiering its third season. 3D scans from the series production were utilized to create the 13kg animatronic of Syrax (the dragon of Rhaenyra Targaryen, played by Emma D’Arcy). The model is the first of its kind and is capable of realistic movement thanks to its 23 dexterous moving parts across its eight-meter wingspan, head and tail, while the impellers built into its legs allow for its flight capability."
