Although I accept the risks of hitchhiking, I believe blaming this situation on my choice to hitchhike is making it the victims fault. This represents an ongoing, systemic issue with men thinking they have possession of women’s bodies. I know the risks of what I do. I'd rather take that risk than live my whole life in fear and never have the good experiences either. And I will continue to take those risks.
